Cooking is one of the first ways people are introduced to herbs and spices, and we’ve been interacting with the plants through our food for thousands of years. Somewhere along the way, though, we lost our understanding of why we cook with these plants, other than the fact that they enhance the flavor of our foods.
Over the course of this class, the children will not only learn the basics of cooking and meal preparation to create delicious foods, but they will learn the various medicinal uses of the herbs and spices we will be working with, how to make super nutrient dense dishes using specific herbs, and how to blend herbs and spices with a specific wellness goal in mind!
We will be working with traditional herbs and spices, as well as some non-traditional herbs that will be wild-foraged or harvested by me from clean, safe spaces in our local area, as well as from my own organic garden, to make appetizers, main dishes, and desserts.
I’ve always been passionate about cooking and baking, so I’m incredibly excited to be sharing my knowledge of the plants in such a fun and tasty way!

Upon registration you will be asked to list any allergies and all medications for your child. This information helps me to avoid any foods or herbs that may prevent us from keeping this experience as safe and enjoyable as we can! All foods will be made allergen friendly.
